Running with the wind
On 16th October Olivia Williams will be running a half- marathon for Oceans of Hope – here’s what she has to say about this amazing challenge:
“A year ago this wouldn’t have seemed possible for me to run 13.1miles! My lovely Aunty Camilla has shown me you can do anything, if you set your mind to it. With determination, confidence in yourself and your abilities, and trusting in the journey you can achieve the impossible.
Cam was diagnosed with Secondary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis (MS) 25 years ago and life is more challenging now, but she has never let anything (or anyone!) slow her down and I am so proud of her. Oceans of Hope have been a lifeline to amazing challenges, meeting wonderful people, and most importantly allowing her to achieve goals that may have once seemed a dream.
I hope this run will raise even more awareness of such a fabulous charity. A charity who changes so many lives for the better, giving confidence and the chance of amazing adventures. This is also an opportunity for me to achieve a life goal myself, and hopefully there will be a bar at the end (motivation indeed!).
If you have a moment to leave me a message of good luck or sponsor me, please see my just giving page. I am the one in the lovely, personalised Oceans of Hope T-Shirt. Thank you to Oceans of Hope for supporting me in this adventure, I hope to make you proud!”
